If you have missed class any time in the last week, you can find the majority of assignments on Mr. Staiano's main web page under the handouts section. There you will find the Power Point slides for this week. The only correction that needs to be made is that the only poetry that is due on Monday is the tanka. The gatha will be finished up on Monday in class.

We worked on paragraph III of the outline for a warm-up and then went into the Power Point slides to work on the definition and some background information on the tanka poetry form (a longer version of a haiku). We also took care of some business, which included looking at the first of the 5 Expository Essay types titled "Decription." We will be looking at these one at a time.
Please remember that we are going to meet in room A116 for the next week (Marshall Campus).
Homework: Complete writing a tanka. Consider in your mind (as many of you have turned these in) which one of the two POV writings you are going to revise for your portfoliol.
