We worked on the Shakespearean Sonnet again today, but working toward our goal of reading Romeo & Juliet. We worked on taking the Prologue from a paragraph form, and putting it back into sonnet format. This was challenging, but not impossible. Many students reflected on the rhyme scheme and iambic pentameter to assist them on the project. We then had a race to see how fast we could read the prologue in teams of boys vs. girls, and then by having each person read one word at a time. The goal was to beat the previous record of 59 seconds.
