Today we focused primary on the Norming of the CA High School Exit Exam essays that we had previous looked at. We re-read the essays and determined what constituted an essay level of 4, 3, 2, or 1. This process will help with tomorrow's assignment of re-writing the poetry pressure comp essays from the poetry exam. We will also use this process again next week. We were only able to focus on the Pair-Share MP3 (Marking Period 3) from yesterday's paragraph that dealt with theme, motif, quote, and commentary briefly. Fourth period turned their paragraphs in, while fifth required one last extention. (Fifth period, remember that this is a rare opportunity. Use it well.)

I will not be in class tomorrow, but Mr. Staiano will be on board. Or, to quote one of you, "Staiano in!"

A quick note to those of you missing work: Get it into the Sometime Later bucket by Tuesday! I will be making sure to clean it out Tuesday and will make sure that your grades include the missing work before semester grades come out. This is my gift to you! Don't just say "thanks," use the time wisely!

Homework: Reading Eight with notes and Pair-Share MP3 if not already turned in.
