Again, today we started with a warm-up on subjects/predicates. And again a note check was done. Coat-of-Arms assignment was collected. We put notes in our binders about the POV, setting, main characters, and conflicts that are already unraveling. We discussed the fact that there are three conflicts that occur in this book: Melinda vs. self, Melinda vs. others, and Melinda vs. society. We then did a 4-5 sentence summary that encompassed the entire first Marking Period. We started to write down themes for this book on our assignment sheet. We will complete them tomorrow.
Homework: Reading Three is due tomorrow, as well as writing at least one theme that the book addresses during the first Marking Period.
