For today's warm-up, students were to look back in the vignettes that had to do with Mamacita, Rafaela, Sally, and Minerva. Think about what all four of these females have in common. Write a paragraph about what they all have in common. The paragraph is to be a minimum of 7 sentences. Substantiate your claim by using information from the text and using in-text citation.
The only vignette we read today was "Beautiful & Cruel," What does Esperanza mean when she say, 'I have begun my own quiet war'" (89)? Against whom or what is she fighting. Find 2 examples of figurative language.
This means that our last group will starting the period tomorrow with "A Smart Cookie."
